Worming

Does anyone know if I can use an injectable form of Noromectin(like Ivomec) to worm my birds? If so what would the dosage be?

Dawg53 is the worm expert on here. I believe he says that Ivomec has lost it's effectiveness. Most of the time he recommends Valbazen or Safegard Liquid Goat wormer.

Ivermectin may be effective on worms that infest mammals, but is worthless as an avian wormer. Valbazen suspension in the 500 ml bottle is Albendazole. It gets all worms and is safe to use. 1/2 cc oral dosage for standards and 1/4 cc for bantams. Trifen Avicola tabs are Albendazole also. Worminator is pyrantel, and is another good one from Hake's Twin City Poultry Supply.
