Worms eating my keets inside out

They are in a oval metal stock pond from Tractor Supply with shavings, water with electrolytes and probiotics, chick starter (that's all we had at the time) and a Brinsca Eco Glow 20 to keep them warm.
I can not comment on the feed, I am not sure what meets eat but the rest sounds pretty good to me.
Since I don't actually know about the feed you may want to research and make sure that that feed is ok for them.??

It could be that the maggots are just starting to hatch since you brought them inside?
I have no idea if it is even possible to see maggot eggs on a chick?
I don't know if there is anything you can do except keep a close eye on them each day.

It is so sad. We lost about 6 that showed no signs of anything. I even started Vit. E and Polyvi just in case to help. Only 2 had holes in their stomach. I wish there was something that we could do to make sure no other chicks have them.

I have seen people smother them out of adult chicken's wounds, but have no idea what can be done for a baby.

Yeah. I see stuff with adult chickens, but nothing on babies. I wish I had control over the conditions in the woods where the nest was (we think) but we didn't. Just hate death though I know it comes with life.
