I’ve tried researching how to treat it. How do I treat flystrike?

let me start by saying that this would be difficult for even a vet to treat, so don't second guess yourself, you did all you could.

Flystrike in that area would be like a newborn human baby with maggots in it's belly button.

I'm not a vet, nor do I have any medical training, but I think the best way to treat it would be to remove all maggots and flush the area with saline and chlorhexidine. If maggots had breached the abdominal wall, then one would probably have to remove the yolk sack and flush the the abdominal cavity. Antibiotics would also be needed for either case.

You still have one that's alive? If so, can you post pictures of it's belly button?

Put on leather gloves and remove the Hen and Ducklings...
Totally clean the pen and put them into a protected space...

Have you ever heard of a human contracting this? I handled him a lot the last few days. I always washed my hands but didn’t always wear gloves. Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done for sure.

Well, I know you can get myiasis which is basically the same thing. I’ve read you can get it from dogs even but didn’t know if anyone had heard of getting it from ducks.

Flystrike has been seen in humans.

Unless you have a nasty wound and don't take proper baths then I don't think you should worry about getting it.

Don't worry about not wearing gloves, I don't either. .

@KikisGirls is right, you don't have anything to worry about unless you have an open wound and are sedentary enough that flies land on you and lay eggs in it.
