9114FCEE-4D78-487B-AA87-634C693216C5.jpeg I had to cull two 12 week old roosters. After scalding them I plucked the wings first, and was alarmed to see what appeared to be worms . This is my first time preparing a bird for cooking, so I am not certain. Attached is a photo . I would appreciate it if someone experienced would give me their opinion. Are these parasitic worms? Are the birds edible? Thank you.

Those aren't worms. They are fluids from the removed feathers. I get that all the time

Not worms. Totally edible. What you are seeing is developing feather shaft, it comes from underneath the skin while plucking. Happens more often with primary feathers than other feathers.
