You can spray it with water a couple times a day, it sounds counterproductive but as the water evaporates it draws moisture from inside the egg too.

Luckily with it being muscovy you still have a little time. However, with it being so far along it may already have developed too big to hatch easily and you may need to help it even if you can stop it suffocating after external pip.

I've never hatched anything before so I don't even know what I should look for. In my understandign external pip is a hole in the shell right?

Muscovies take about 35 days, so it still has a long way to go. Just keep the humidity very low, and it will grow over time..

It looks a little behind for 20 days too, so you may be in for another 20+ days.

It's 36% humidity right, now is that good?

I apologise, I meant internal pip, sorry for the confusion. You are correct, external pip is the first crack in the shell. Internal pip is when the the duckling (or chick or whatever it is) breaks into the air cell.

I've just been reading through your other post (and sounds like you have already read the article I linked to so you can just ignore that). Are you still using your laptop charger and did you manage to get the temp up?

I think if you can get a better pic of the embryo once it gets dark certainly post it and someone can give you a better idea of how far along it might be (I don't know muscovy). The air cell may not be a problem.

Still using that yeah, I manage to craft a makeshift "incubator" , which reads the temperature and activates a small fan once it gets too high. It worked so far as the temperature is sitting at 37 C with some drops at 36 but it quickly goes back up. idk how to manage the humidity so I just put a damp towel in the box if its too low and remove when it's too high.
I'll get a pic tonight when it's dark enough to see
