Worried about week old EE

I am sorry, my dad came into town and I got distracted. I got her eating and drinking, she seemed to be on the mend. I was watching her and I went outside for maybe 10 minutes to get my preschooler off the bus and when I came back, she had passed away. I was sad, but she fought hard and was warm, loved and protected. Thank you for all of your help. Next time I notice a chick getting to this point, I know what to do and if I start sooner, the chick will have a better chance.

I am really sorry she didn't make it. You did a really good job caring for her though. And your right, she certainly passed happy and cared for.

Well Unfortunately what I have to say is kind of bad news. That little chick doesn't really look like an easter egger. Looks to me like a bantam of sorts hence she is so much smaller. Sometimes I get a chick like that ....I just make sure they get to eat and drink and if you want to give them some extra energy you could put a little molasses in there water!
There are bantam EEs..........fwiw. :)
