Does that make any sense? Like where our chin would be, but the back, underneath of his beak, but before his neck/throat begins. It is like there is something in his mouth or under his tongue, but nothing is visible.... what do you think it could be? thx in advance, jenn

He could have been stung by a bee somewhere around his mouth. Is he shaking his head or anything that tells you he's bothered by it?

I had a goose stung by a bee near his bill, and his chin swelled almost in that same area. He shook his head a lot for a day or two, then he was fine.

I agree about possible sting. Especially if there is a lot of clover or other flowering plants about.
My vet said don't worry too bad about bee stings, Jesse had gotten one. He said his pilgrims get them commonly.

I am sorry he is hurt, I would wait a few days to see if the swelling has gone down.
