Ok we recently noticed a new development on the boy girl/debate for our Delaware "Sassy". So I figured I'd post and see if this made any difference... When my two obvious hens (the barred rocks) put them selves up for night they are always in the coop waiting for a pat and the door to be locked. My he/she though is always hiding out back behind the coop on a cement block. Is an aversion to be in the coop with the other two (they were all raised in the same brooder) a male behavior or is she just a she that doesn't like being confined to the coop?
I haven't found any long/pointy saddle feathers yet and the wattles and comb are only growing and pinking up a small bit in the last week. Here is a photo from today:
She is approximately 15 weeks.
