How many have you had?
I've had 3 sex-link hens, 1st one laid jumbo eggs that probably the reason that shortened her life, 2nd had few problems but would always escape and later was killed by a dog cuz of it, and 3rd, just died this fall from reproductive problems and I had to cull her :hmm (not fun doing)

And all in all they were bullies as well.

Will never get black sex links again. The two I had were mean, nasty girls who bullied a pullet and killed her and started on another one. I also will never get another light brahma. Had two, they were the ones bullied. They don't stick up for themselves and the one that survived hardly lays eggs and her feet are nasty in my weather. I miss my first flock, three slw and two easter eggers. They got along so well but stopped laying eggs. So I got rid of them. If only they would have kept laying, even an egg a week from each, I would still have them
I my sexlinks. But they were over ten yeas ago and I don't want to get more now because I've seen they aren't as durable as they were then

Can’t say I’ve ever hated anything except those smelly, dirty, wet, loud things. They are so cute, and the fox thinks so too. I did everything to keep them from getting out of their pen but they would just keep coming out. So he just ate them all. I’m sorry that they had to go that way but I don’t miss them.
Also, I don’t like how common they are. The second most common exhibition poultry breed. They’re wrapped around everyone’s fingers, like they don’t even see their evil ways 👿.

Silkies?

Oh man, I keep seeing all these posts about RIR being aggressive. Hopefully nothing changes in my flock. I have one RIR pullet and I recently purchased two more baby chicks. So let’s see how the chicks turn out to be? But as far as my pullet (Jolene) she’s exactly 16 weeks today and she seems friendly to other hens, very docile with me and my kids. She lets us pick her up and she’s real smart. She even knows when we are calling her by her name, she’ll come to us.
I have a RIR pullet who is so very super freindly.

Mine are pretty smart other than the male. I'm thinking he also may have gotten a damaging peck when he was young considering the leap in visible intelligence from him to the dbest female I have. As for the buff polish, mine had a visible vault in her skull, which isn't a great place to be pecked, let alone drilled by a beak like what happened with her.
Is your Silkie male Vaulted Skulled? I avoid those, due to them being more fragile in the head.

brown leghorns. They are just so finicky. The white ones i have no problem with but the brown ones. I just cant keep them from dying. And its not like i just have a few and a bunch of chickens are dying and the BLs were some of the many. Nope, its just them. And its for all different random reasons.
