Worst egg packaging you have ever received?

This have probably been asked before but I wanted to ask it again so sellers would know.
I think the worst packaging I have received are the eggs in a carton, with pine shavings around them in the carton and newspaper around the carton in the box. Not only were several eggs broken but the pine shavings are absolutely horrible to unwrap and then the eggs have a sticky pine pitch coating.
Really people, bubble wrap is not that expensive.

I also happen to hate, people who send really dirty eggs, people who tape up eggs in bubblewrap with the packaging tape(almost impossible to get open) and people who use shredded paper, and especially eggs in foam--both end up with more broken eggs then bubblewrap.
Just my thoughts. I hope others add to this so sellers will know.

I really like bubblewrap. It is clean, keeps eggs from getting broken and they usually hatch fairly well. I don't mind if there is crumpled newspaper around the edges of the box, as long as the eggs are wrapped in bubblewrap. I usually wrap each egg in bubblewrap, have bubblewrap all around the sides and bottom of the box put the eggs in the middle and fill with packing peanuts, if I have any, that is how the eggs that have come to me, that I have had the best results with, have been packaged.

I prefer pine shavings tightly packed, it really keeps the eggs from shifting during shipping. My second favorite is properly shredded paper, tighly packed for the same reason.

I hate wads of paper and packing peanuts, even if the eggs are bubbled wrapped the eggs are still able to shift some....not good if they get a bumpy ride.

All in all, most of the eggs I have had shipped have been packed well....do have occasions where the PO roughs them up good. Today my Post Master called to my attention, that both of the orders I recieved today....the boxes where poorly marked. He told me that because of the poor visabilty of the markings that were on the box, they came thru the regular way any package would, and was not handled as fragile. (((sigh))

I don't know what my worst one was but this is definately the best! It was a
nice, thick piece of foam with holes cut out. Then a thin layer of foam over the top
and the rest of the box was filled with the round cut-out pieces. Look familiar Shortcake?
I recycled it for the April egg swap

I have had several shipped eggs, all from different people on BYC and different methods, and all arrived here in great shape! Some of the air cells have been detached, but still have had good hatches. I've never had eggs shipped in shavings/sawdust yet. So I can't comment on that one.

I've not had the foam either, YET! Cool!

Actually, Scraps, that foam packaging doesn't look too bad, because the eggs are far enough away from each other. The ones I have received have the holes cut too close and the eggs still hit each other through the foam, that is why they break.
RuffTuffCreamPuff, the eggs I got were tightly packed in pine shavings but some of them still shifted in the carton and were sideways. The thing with bubblewrap is that the air pockets can't shift like with other packaging material, such as shavings. The air pockets stay in the same place all the time.
