Worst egg packaging you have ever received?

Never really got bad packing but awful PO handling...In a big box of mixed eggs(can't remember who sent them) I got last Fall it looked like the PO workers just slammed it on the ground...The whole bottom layer was crushed.

I don't like the foam because there is not enough padding on the top or bottom of the egg and if the box gets squished so do the eggs. They won't bump each other though, I'll give ya that.....

Hi! I know what you mean --- I don't like getting eggs with clumps of poo and bedding stuck to them.

No matter what is around the egg, if shaken hard enough it will break the cell. I've gotten eggs individually bubble wrapped with no hatch, and with 90% hatch. I've gotten eggs in a carton with shredded paper in the carton, the eggs set in it then bubble wrap around the carton with crumpled news paper from several different members, some hatched, some didn't. I don't think there really is any one way that is better than others except for loose eggs in a box full of paper, I don't think that would work

. I've mailed eggs individually bubble wrapped then placed in a carton, I've also sent them in the shredded paper in the carton then wrapped the carton and stuffed the box with crumpled or shredded paper myself. I think it is a matter of preference, and I guess in order to keep from hurting feelings or getting something wrapped the way you don't like them wrapped you might want to ask the person sending them how they wrap them and if it is not in your preferred manner let them know and cancel your order. But personally I don't think it is up to me to tell a seller how to wrap their eggs, but I would let them know the condition in which they arrived be it good or be it bad.

I have had a couple po disasters...but the worst packaged for shipping I got was eggs put two together in a ziplock baggie and then newspaper around those baggies...the biggest surprise was that a couple made it!
I saw the packaging and was just picturing the eggs bashing against each other as they were thrown around on the way up here.
One DID hatch.(Had that happen with a po football before too, that I thought nothing would survive from, much less hatch!)

i have had one that i think the po kicked like a football. it was yellow inside and out. had foam and bubble wrap and newspaper in it. it was from a e-bayer. they was nice and wanted to ship me more if i would pay the shipping again. i told them thanks but i would wait and see. i have 4 eggs, i think growing.
