Worst. Shipping. Ever.

Sometimes no mater how hard you try eggs get broken. I have shipped alot of eggs I rarely have problems. however last week some were broken in shipping. I bublewrapped each egg and placed them big end up in a small priority box that was lined with bubblewrap. then I packed that box within another box with foam peanuts. on chicken eggs they would also be in an egg carton however my duck eggs don't fit in egg cartons. I had sent tons of extra so the receiver was happy.

The trick to wrapping eggs is tissue first, small bubble wrap second and large bubble wrap third. Then setting them into the MIDDLE of the box and tightly pack other materials around them.

I did take pictures. If I have to I'll go the ugly route and dispute it via PayPal. No word from the seller yet.

Everyone wants to blame the post office, but sometimes there are sellers who just put little effort in their packing. I have had both great packing and not so great packing. I have had eggs in a egg carton with nothing around them placed in a shoe box with a little shreded paper. Clearly the egg carton could move freely in the box. All my eggs were ruined. Lesson learned.

I just candled them to see what I could see. One has a large bubble with several small bubbles around it that moves all over as you rotate the egg. There are a few that look like they might be ok. There are several that look really interesting. I've not seen it before. At first I thought I was seeing really early veining. But as I looked I think it looks more like, cracks in Jell-o?? You can see the yolk and the white but the yolks all seem to be settled in the large end, the air sacs are mobile, and there are little lines, but not red lines. They're very faint. I don't know what it means. A couple look like maybe the yolk & white have mixed.
Is the best thing to wait until morning to set these? They arrived around 2 o'clock this afternoon. Will waiting longer maybe help the air sacs to get to the ends of the eggs?

Those with bubbles that follow as you move the egg are detached and no good. Set the others in the morning, and remind us to pray for a good hatch.

Thank you. I will lol. I have eggs that I received yesterday from another seller so I have those eggs to compare to. The other seller's eggs look much more stable. The yolks are in place and don't move, no floaters. Hoping for the best.

Good luck!!! Mark the bad ones so you can see if they really do hatch. I often come home and they have ALL hatched and the eggs are all over the place and I have no idea who did what!

Did mine arrive okay?
