m not sure how to spell amerucauna I do it every time so I apologize in advance! My chicks I bought at a feed store were sold as amerucauna but now I am seeing all the posts about ee's they have blue/green legs, muffs, and pea comb how can you tell? will it always be just ee's?

I was told my EE was an Araucana when I bought her. The kind folks here educated me about what she was, but I don't care at this point. That is my favorite girl in the flock! I love her so much I just went out and bought 7 more EE chicks and had bought 2 others a couple of weeks before that. Most people probably don't know the difference. I didn't.

Yeah, Araucana's and Americana's aren't that common... you probably won't find real ones in a feed store. Just ee's which are mixes. They will still lay pretty eggs though!

Those all look like EEs to me.... The "aracaunas" look like they have tails (and no tufts), and the "ameraucanas" aren't the right color.
