I have 6 18 week old chicks and am wondering if any of them are going to be a rooster would he have attemped to crow by now

We really need to see pictures of your flock to make an informed opinion. As for crowing...I've heard of roos attempting to crow as young as 10-12 weeks...just depends....post pics and we can help you better!

I have an EE mix out there that's around 16-18 weeks, I think its a rooster because it just looks roosterish to me..... S/he isn't crowing nor showing any other signs of rooster behaviors, ( rooster strut etc.) Its those pretty saddle feathers that have me thinking its a he... Dh thinks its a she because the comb is just not turning pink and is pretty small.. I thought I saw the spur bumps yesterday and grabbed DH to show him I had won the bet, until that is he pointed out those same bumps on several of the pullets that just started laying..
Were just going to have to wait a few more weeks and see who's right

(of course I am hoping I am wrong and it is a pullet)

Roosters will usually show much more size and color in their combs and wattles by 5-8 weeks of age.
Pea combed cockerels most often have 3 rows of peas rather than the pullets only having one row.

Exactly , I tend to know without a doubt by about 6 weeks but this one had me second guessing enough that it has been spared the last two rooster culls...

Went out to feed and water the flock this morning and really started looking, it has small legs as opposed to the two cockerels we have that are about a month younger , one of which has just started crowing.. I will have to look closer at the pea comb.
I'll try and get some pictures up later this afternoon..
