Does anyone know if a cross between a Blue Runner and a Cayuga would also be 'mules?' I have some ducklings like this.

Also, I have some ducklings that are half mallard half Blue Runner. Will they also be Mules?

The only domestic mules would be muscovy/mallard derived crosses. Interesting enough mule hens will sometimes go broody and set on apples, rocks, etc.

Mutts, not mules.

Tia-I'll try to figure out how to post photos here.
Don't you LOVE your Runners? at first I thought they'd look funny, but I LOVE how my Blue Runner drake zooms across the yard to me. He even "kisses" me and nuzzles my hair. He's the BEST duck and I am glad to have his kids.

haha I thought I was the only one with such a wacky combo of ducks! I have chocolate runners (2 females) and Cayugas (2 females and 1 male). I would like to add blue runners and fawn and white runners, even a runner drake to breed babies but right now my drake has been so sweet I don't want to upset him. AND I really don't have a big enough house to add a bunch of babies to so I'm probably better off with not having a runner drake.
