Would I be able to show a BMF D'Uccle?

Here are a couple pics of him.

I don't think they are true Blue Mille Fleur I think they have some Columbian gene in there background. With that being said they might be a cross..
Blue Mille Fleur shouldn't have the Columbian markings in the hackles.

from what i see they arent neccesarily show quality, hatcheries dont sell show quality birds, or else breeders would have no reason to breed, they arent even a proper blue millie fluer
if you are truly interested in showing d'uccles, join the d'uccle breeding club get rid of these birds, study the standard, and buy yourself some good breeder stock

If you are showing a breed that isn't in the APA or ABA Standard of Perfection, the best it can do is Best of Breed. If you are showing a variety that isn't recognized, the best it can do is Best of Variety. That is the technical answer but it really depends on the judge and the show. My girls have shown birds that had no competition in a double show and gotten different results. Best example is a Cuckoo Maran hen that got Continental Class Champion in the first show and Best of Breed in the second show. Also, not all shows are APA or ABA sanctioned such as a county fair.

When my family began showing, we took lots of birds that weren't recognized but if you get more serious the only way you will win the trophies or money is if you conform. Although you may choose to work on getting varieties added...

That's correct. Also, the bird in question would be entered as a Blue Mille Fleur, not as an ACV. It would compete against only other Blue Mille Fleurs & it's best possible placing would be Best of Variety.
