Yes: Kindness is good. Titling can be tricky. As a relative noob, I can attest to not putting a lot of thought into titles just because I was so focused on the problems I was dealing with - not that I didn't care or anything. I always endeavor to presume positive intentions and give the benefit of a doubt. At least, I try...

I like the idea of keywords. I will do my best from now on.

No, it just depends on what your thread is about. If its about a chick not moving, eating, etc., some people panic and they just put something like: "HELP ASAP!". But, to get more people to click on the thread and help you out, put something like: "Help me please! Chick is not moving or eating!" Or even something better with more info than what I just said.

Simply put something like "Chick not moving or eating" is enough.

As Cyprus said earlier; You can lead a horse to water but if his head is up his butt he may die of thirst any way! I usually just click on the threads I find interesting or that I think I know something about. I don't always know how to respond to "Help", but if you said "help with design of something" or "help, my chick is walking crooked", it is easier to understand what your thread/post is about...

Goodness. Y'all can be harsh on folx who unintentionally annoy others... I am guilty of typing dumb titles, but I never did so in an attempt to annoy others. I am sure that the majority of the time it's done in oversight.

I don't think this thread is designed to be harsh, I take it as educational. I understand posting in a panic, but if folks have a clue a head of time, that may help them form a more coherent title. It just helps folks sift through it better. For instance, if the title is " help with incubator," I know I can be of no assistance. If it's "help with loose stool", I may be able to add something. It's not about being annoyed, it about not being able to go through every post. That's all I take from the thread.

Oh, I agree. It's been very educational!

I was referencing the idea that those of use who inadvertently wrote a vague/useless title have heads up our butts.

What would be even better is if folks who "heard a long time ago" but don't know or have who haven't got any experience in the question they're trying to answer would just not answer at all. A recent thread comes to mind where someone "heard" that fertilized eggs have naturally occurring penicillin. Such a load of BS. If you don't know, don't have the experience, or haven't bothered to research the topic, just shut up!! Your misinformation is not helpful to anyone.
