Would raw egg be ok to help gain a healthy weight

Oh! That’s another thing with calcium! I realize that since he has a crooked beak, he has a hard time eating anything that is just lying around. For calcium, should I use the eggshells of eggs I crack open? Would simply leaving them on the counter dry them up
What has he been eating?
If it's any kind of complete chicken feed, then it already has enough calcium for him.
Even the inside parts of an egg contain a small amount of calcium.

HE is never going to produce an eggshell, and if he's an adult his bones are pretty much done growing, so he doesn't need large amounts of calcium.

Yes, eggshells are a fine source of calcium for chickens, but your rooster probably doesn't need them.

Oh! We have that exact baby bird feed, picture and all! It was very helpful when he was sick and needed some nutrients to get him through his infection, but I think he got burnt out on the stuff and hardly enjoys it anymore. I would definitely recommend it :)!
I just break peels off. Since the membrane is still attached to the shell and they can just gulp them down like a grass

I give raw yolk mixed with wheat to weak hens. No problems..
As for hens eating their own eggs, I agree with someone who said they only eat their own eggs if they are low on protein or calcium, I would add - from my experience - protein. If they eat high protein food, especially now in the winter, they do not eat their own eggs.
