Would someone please calm me down before I flip my lid...

Ah-HA!!! I think we found where it came from. For future prevention, I highly suggest you do a quarantine on your yarn donations, and spray them down with bug spray, and put them in a plastic bag for a while to kill anything that happened to hitchhike in.

Sorry this has happened.

Calm down!!I have the same issues, GROSS!! Get some Advantage for the dog and for the possibility of these awful bugs...I'm from the south, I do not have them but, I mix boric acid(twenty mule team borax) w suger and put it in caps, bottle tops and what ever lids you can find. I mix it about 50 50. Put the filled caps in dark places way back in your cabints, under you bath tubs, in your pantry ect... Chances are you accidentily carried one in on a grocery sack. If you have any others the sugar will draw them to the containers and they eat and die. It works in the south. We have these giant flying ones, tree roaches it even kills them. What part of the US do you live. I heard in South America there are these giant flying ones that bite. OOOH GROSS!!!!Giving me GGooose bumps. Now sometimes the big ones that just hatch resemble the bad german ones. The german ones have a lite brown body w a blk dot on the back. OOOOH Gross. Be careful w/ all the poisons.

Okay Debi, I adore you and everything and this may be a DUMB question but:

If it's as harmless as table salt, then how is it killing the roaches?

Yes, I am the type that would shoot a small rabid racoon with a rocket launcher instead of a shotgun....
Get my drift?

Okay this bug is nearly an inch long, 6 legs with the back two longer than the others, long antenna, light brown front half of the body and nearly black bottom part, no spot...

Oh and tiny wings smaller than the eraser on a pencil.....

Goodness I cannot even type about it without feeling physically ILL.

I used to laugh at people who would puke when someone gross happened but I am totally about to become one of those peopel!

LOL!!! Water isn't toxic but rats drown - who knows! My son did get some on his tongue when he was small. I have used it for ant control and spiders (BUIG spiders). Doesn't bother the cats inside or the goats and dogs outside. I think it is more of a repellent than a killer.
