I wouldn't be upset by her actions, but I would be awfully ticked off by her words. "Too good for a homeless person". I dunno, sounds like the coat is too good for her.

I don't put all homeless people in the same basket, they are all individuals, they each have their own circumstances and their own stories. And here in Fairbanks, where homeless people have to survive even when the temperature dips to 40 below, the warmth of the coat is a LOT more important than the label it wears.

Well, the thing that get's my goat about it is this:

OP had six coats to be donated, yes?

And the BF had a coat he didn't want anymore, that he did trade for one of the 6 coats.

This means that only 6 coats were donated, when there could have been 7. All because "Sue" got blinded by the designer tag and decided that her BF was more deserving of a coat than the homeless people she was claiming to represent. Because of her actions, someone out there did not receive a coat that could have had one. And if that person freezes to death this December, I hope that her conscience will be flogged about it.
