Would YOU do this??

I don't think I personally could trust an eBay ad.
I would want to "check" the person out as much as possible before I ordered eggs. Could you look for some eggs from someone here on BYC so you can investigate them first?

It's up to you if it's worth it, but be aware that when you buy shipped eggs you're lucky if you get half to hatch, and Calls are very difficult to hatch already. A lot of them need assistance to hatch if they make it that far.

Also, that breeder doesn't seem to know how breeding blue fawn, pastel, and gray together works since she says she's separated the colors. That's only important if you specifically only want grays or pastels. Breeding blue fawns together will get you all three colors, so if she does have a pen of blue fawns only, those will be throwing the other two colors too. Unless she has a pen of pastels over grays or vice versa, then the eggs from the 'blue fawn' pen will produce all three colors.

And, Calls are pretty much out of season right now. Fertility may be low on those eggs for that reason.

You should probably specify what size you prefer. I read that before I read this, and I personally do not consider runners "huge." Tall, yes. but they max out at about five pounds. Also, do you just want them for the pretty? Or would you like some eggs? Is friendliness preferred? How much are you willing to pay? Do you have any preferred breeds/colors? Do you want a broody breed, or do you not want to have to feed twenty ducklings?

(Note that my ducks are out of season, and I'm just nitpicking.)

I have not had any problems with Call Ducks requiring assistance hatching. My babies this year in both my incubator (plastic forced air) and under my little mama duck came out beautiful! They are molting now and its raining a lot (too messy for ducklings), but I hope this is over in a couple of weeks and I'll get a few more eggs before Fall. My hens laid eggs through November of last year.

Aww do you have pictures?
Also, being my luck... they’d need assistance!

You might specify specific breeds you're looking for if you consider runners huge, because those are in the light duck class, which is the smallest class of large fowl ducks. Ducks I'd consider to be huge are pekins, silver appleyards, etc.
Oh okay, I might have gotten runners confused with some other breed! :D
