Would you send her to freezer camp - advice please!

I tend to agree with Silkiechicken. Coop space is a premium. I would call her an unproductive bird and put her in the freezer (or give her away as a pet, making sure I tell the new owners her history).

There may be a kind soul out there that may provide her a forever home as a pet if you don't want to cull her. You could always post her on craigslist. Just a though.

Thank you everyone for your advice. She is actually our head hen, the ruler, the queen, makes sure everyone knows it. And yes the 6' x 6' is just the coop. They have a covered 6' x 20' outside run and a open 35' by 75' outdoor run, they also get to free range our property while being supervised (they don't seem to care that our nieghbors dog would eat them in a heart beat, silly chickens!) I don't feel that they are cramped in there coop, there are no squables and they all seem to know there place. I would definitely not introduce any new hens, I would prefer to replace the whole flock in a year or two instead of trying to bring in a new comer. I think we would definitely need more coop room if we were going to do that just so the new one had a chance to get away if need be. My ideal situation would be to set up another coop and run and have some more chicks in the spring and just rotate them out to new families so I always had a flock of 1-2 year olds and a flock of pullets (I hope that made sense).

I would not kill her because my chickens are pets and for eggs so I would keep her of you could give her away to some one who just wants pet chickens

I agree with silkiechicken. Waiting isn't going to fix the problem, and if she is taking such long breaks now, she will later too. I would eat her.

Everyone's in such a hurry! What's wrong with waiting?! I'm glad my parents didn't decide to cull me because I wouldn't walk straight away. Nothing wrong with my legs, I guess I just wasn't quite ready.

And if that hen produces that type of production, her egg production would be very expensive. If one decided to make some money or food for family and she is not cutting her way thru, I would have eliminate her by putting her as a PET chicken if I was attached to her, or cull her by sending her to a good home. Or if she is stll producing BAD eggs, I would have her for supper.
