If they shouldn't let people who know nothing about birds have them, why sell them? They sell to any one. We've had people give us adult broilers because their kid wanted a 'pet chick'. Note that most of the birds we recieve have been fed random junk.
If they let us know, they wouldn't have to suffer in a tank by themselves at all.
I never said they were diseased birds, they are wounded.. from neglect and people who do not care about living things.
I'm not sure how the feedstore you worked at is like, or feedstore orders chicks from certified hatcheries, and bunnies from rabbitries, they don't allow random people to sell their animals in the store.
Basically it was just a rant about inconsiderate people who have no concern for an animal's well being. I guess I just believe animals should live a nice and humane life even if they are meant for future food, is that so wrong?
I'm probably being a baby about it, I've dispatched many a (major) wounded animal, but when it comes to little baby chicks? Lol.
