my newest cell phone still has it's protective plastic on it. i hate taking that stuff off since they scratch quickly once it is gone. my dh couldn't stand it on his and it HAD to come off!

(it's his first cell phone so he will eventually learn about the need for those covers!)
eta: oh, and my washer and dryer both had their blue plastic still on them till my dad came to help remove them from my apartment, for 3 years it was on there.

That is hilarious! The reason... just yesterday I said to DH my buttons on my washer are getting cracked looking. Then after a closer look I realized it was just the protective coating bubbling up

I have had that washer 2 years

My two cents is I rip up the box, lose the receipt, and don't give that vinyl a second thought before removing it. However, this is all cause for concern when I have to return something

HA! I always read the directions. Today I was putting together a set of shelves and started by laying out the parts and reading the instructions. A guy walked by and said my masculinity was being damaged. I considered throwing the directions in the garbage.
