You're right, but I think I'll make sure I have what it takes to be a good Mom first. Even though I'm a Gramma now. I didn't realize how much attention they really need. All the same, I have found a new love! Oh, my husband loves to eat peanuts. I have an abundance of peanut shells. Is it o.k. to put them in the Broody or are they too young?

Welcome new mom! I'm a new mom too and I picked up on chicken math really quick!! I only have 5, but originally just wanted 2. It really is addicting and mine are only a week old!! Good luck!

from Ohio!! The word "chicks" should never be used in the singular. It is always plural, after all they hate to be alone!
