WOW, something new to think about

Girl, you crack me up!

I can't figure out how to post a .pdf, but I have an article from the New York Times saved to my desktop dated May 30 1918. It's about a doctor and his wife being indicted by a federal grand jury for hoarding food. The "Food Control Act" of WWI made it illegal to possess more than a "reasonable quantity" of food. After a tip from a neighbor, the Food Administration raided their home and discovered "large quantities of flour, sugar and other foodstuffs."

"The only comment of the Food Administration was that its officers were ready at all times to proceed against hoarders, regardless of their social standing, and that the charge would be followed to the end."

If anyone wants to see the article, send me your email address and I'll forward the .pdf
