I bought a 5'X2' clear plastic tote from WalMart that I started my 11 chicks in and it worked perfectly, they also have pine bedding though I like the softer, smaller sized pine shavings at Kmart. I also found the lamp and red heat lamp bulb at WalMart, if you're in a bind for a brooder.IGood luck.

My PO has my ph# written on their wall for other peoples refused chick shipments. Three times they have called me to come get the box while someone was still alive in it!

They are all still alive and doing just fine. I'm thinking I may just keep them and sell them when they are pullets. At least then I can make a profit. What are people charging for young healthy pullets these days?
Only problem is, mypetchicken didn't send a receipt, invoice or packing list of any kind so I have no idea what breeds are in the box. it seems so long ago we placed the order and canceled it. I have to say I'm not terribly impressed with this company. Though I do have to give them the credit that the chicks did arrive alive.
