I have had her in a dog crate for 3 days. So far she’s not giving in. I have been putting her in the crate every morning then releasing her into the run before sundown so she can go back to the coop where she is safe from any predators. This has worked for me in the past.

Now it seems she has talked Gena my Jersey Giant into joining in on the fun. I noticed that Gena was losing color in her comb today and had that look in her eye again. I checked the coop camera and sure enough I have 2 sleeping in the nest boxes.

Your gonna need a bigger coop...

I broke all 3 Angel, Black and Raven. Pulled the cage out yesterday. Raven kept wanting to get in with Dbl yellow so I had to block her off so close to hatch. Then she wanted to lay in front of Betty all day because Betty wouldn't let her in.

My Jersey Gena is all about hatching babies out. When she does lay she lays mostly double yolks. It’s getting to where if I don’t see a double for a few days I suspect she going to go broody. I updated her profile last night when I noticed her in the box. I think she is certifiably nuts.

Most of my birds don’t have many details but since she is a cereal broody she gets the most notes. Several of them only have their age and picture. The main things I track are hatch date, first egg if I know it, broody, and butcher date and weight on the ones I have butchered

Yes it is. It's bouncing all over the yard checking on chicks all day here with constant head counts. But Copper and Jett are starting to hang out together and co-parent which is neat to watch and that helps.

Felicity and the babies are super pretty.
