Wrath's Marans

Pics
Oh my goodness, thats awful, but I'm glad you are ok!! :hugs Stuff like this will really rattle your existence, we never know when the end might come, every day is precious, especially as we get older. You've got a gem of a wife to care for your flocks, you just get some rest and take care of your dear self!! :hugs ❤️
Thank you so much and your right, it does bring a different perspective to the important things I have in my life that I've taken for granted and thinking will always be there.
♥️

I'm so glad you made it through and can continue to annoy your wife. As a wife with a hubby who has heart stuff going on, I know exactly how important that is! No one can annoy me better, or more thoroughly, than he can. 🤣 all kidding aside though, I'm glad you are on the mend and have good support while you do so.
Thanks Tink..♥️

Sorry to hear about the heart troubles. I hope you recover fully.
I tried to get a picture of one of my marans pullets to show you , but they’re hard to get a good shot. Here’s one of the mixed fibro pullets.

Hey all, I haven't been on for awhile other than just popping on and off the site out of sheer boredom being bedridden.
My everyday activities came to a crashing halt last week, out of nowhere my heart wanted to come to a full stop and try to exit my chest. So with that little scare and 4 stents later, I'm coming back around but moving a little slower these days.
My amazing wife has taken over the bird tender and hubby sitting business for a bit until I get my strength back up to speed.

Just taking it day by day here for the moment and thrilled to still be around to annoy my wife and kids, hug my grandbabies and visit the birds and all my friends here at BYC daily for a little while longer.
I'm glad your ok

I was wondering where you were. Was hoping you were still chasing broodies.

I am saddened to hear of your health issues and very glad to read you are on the mend.

Take good care of yourself and the wife too. I want my old friend around for a long time! ❤️
Thank you my dear friend...♥️
I'm making some unwanted fast changes to the flock to lighten the work load for wifey and will post an update soon.

So glad to know you're okay! Awesome that you have a wonderful wife to care for you. ❤️ Sorry you went through that but glad you're still here! :hugs

I almost got one in focus. I think they have a really nice neck line/head. There’s really no noticeable copper on them. I’m okay with that as long as the eggs are high quality.

Thanks buddy..♥️
Both your pullets are super pretty and I did notice you posted pics of my 2 favorites your raising. I really need some fibros in my yard next year.

Don't worry about that copper, I found out that's a easy fix with an over colored roo. Most all my hens are mostly black with minimal copper and Kong added much more hackle copper to his pullets. Some are not complete but I'm guessing if I back cross again to him or another roo with slight chest copper it would add more to the resulting pullets.
