Not sure how old you are but @TwoCrows and I are months apart and both nearing 65, so at our age, what you just went through hits close to home.Thank you so much...![]()

One of the young pullets named Penny laid her first egg just now. The green one is from the fibro pullet. She’s laid about 6 of those now and they are getting more green each time. Thanks buddy..
Both your pullets are super pretty and I did notice you posted pics of my 2 favorites your raising. I really need some fibros in my yard next year.
Don't worry about that copper, I found out that's an easy fix with an over colored roo. Most all my hens are mostly black with minimal copper and Kong added much more hackle copper to his pullets. Some are not complete but I'm guessing if I back cross again to him or another roo with slight chest copper it would add more to the resulting pullets.
I'm 57. Consider myself pretty active from a construction background but I don't eat healthy (meat and tators man)and I do ...well did... smoke for many years. Not sure how old you are but @TwoCrows and I are months apart and both nearing 65, so at our age, what you just went through hits close to home.I robbed the cradle. My hubby is 3 years younger and much more athletic than I.

I'm doing pretty good, thanks. Yes, I've been getting out in short spurts over the last couple days, but feeling better every day. Wife won't let me do anything which is annoying, so I just stare at the birds or do head counts. Going out here shortly to try to get some pictures while we swap birds out to free range. How are you doing today? Are you able to get out to the chickens yet, I bet they miss you!
