Me? 2-2.5 k per chapter. Then they aren't too long for the reader

Word is a pain because you can't share it

I don't really share my writing so it's not a bother to me. My main document in particular is like locked in a safe at this point. I cherry pick what sees the light of day.

I have personal beef with word

I did all my study with word so it's just what I'm used to I only started using Docs because of you plus wanting to be able to access my story wherever, whenever.

Medieva fantasy, or just medieval it depends, I am writing a two fictional books set in medieval era,one in 55k word sth eother 4k so far, I am also writing one about two boys whos tart a car company 6k words, on with foxes preying in chickens, 14k words

You know. I'm curious if anyone has a "unique" preference for how they write? I used to LOVE notebook and pen writing before I had a laptop, and my typewriter's good when I have a fairly clear scene in mind.

When I started my draft I just googled what the average word count per chapter for high fantasy was and a lot of results said that due to world building and description theyre usually on the longer side
