I don't wanna click a million buttons to find it every time. Word has it there all the time 😒
Word does not have it right there
I have to use the search mechanism to find it every time

If you’re on a computer on Google docs you can click the option to display word count while writing
And if you’re on a touch screen device it’s like two buttons

Yes it does 🤨 right in the bottom corner next to the page count.
Maybe that's only on computer :caf

I CLICK THAT EVERY TIME AND EVERYTIME I OPEN MY TAB AGAIN IT'S NOT THERE.
I don't want to do it every time I'm writing.

I will stick to writing meeting minutes, and forum chats.
Leave the fancy stuff to others - my daughter told me 18yrs ago - that as a writer, anyone who says they know how long the book will be is a reporter not a writer - real writers just wake up - grab a book and a pen and say "now get out of my head before you drive me crazy" and write whatever comes. She was a pretty good writer back then - now she writes reports that mostly get listened to for Govt and business alike.
