Sounds like both of you are seeing improvements. Keep doing what you are doing and keep us posted. Will keep your little ones in my thoughts

and my fingers crossed for a complete recovery.

My chick is back out with her siblings. She is pecking around in the chick food on her own. The other chicks didn't seem to mind that their sister was back after a 2 day absence. She is getting stronger in holding her head up and seems happy to be back with her "family". Still keeping a close eye on her though.

Just went to give mine some babyfood bananas and realized that she has torn a hole in her neck w/ her claws. UGH!!! Wrapped her in a rubbery gauze stuff. Before I was able to get it on her she kicked her foot up and got one of her claws stuck in the hole.

i really hope your baby gets better... i just had to have my brother put my hen down tonight, she had wry neck for over a month and she was only getting worse, she couldnt eat or drink and had her head under herself, she would tip water and food over so she was always with out it, as i could not be with her to keep an eye all the time... i finally decided she was just suffering too much. i hope things turn out different for you.. this is a sad night for me

I am so sorry for your loss

It is so sad but you did the right thing. One can only try to heal them for so long. It was the humane thing to do, again so sorry.

Oh yes !! If there is a will there is a way !! Horses & Chickens will always find some way to get into trouble or get injured.

Even if you housed them in a padded coop I think they would still find a way.

Good thing you caught it in time to get it bandaged !!
