wry neck treatment.

yea, im bad to get attached. we get a lot of strays, & due to the dog problem, have to rehome them. i cried for 3 months over a kitten i rehomed. like this little duck, ive already gotten pretty attached to him. hes doing really well on this formula. he eats it like crazy.

heres an update: he can now eat, drink & take formula on his own. he'll walk to each bowl & even "play" with his stuffed rabbit i gave him for snuggling. hes still spinning & his head is still tilted, but he can hold it upright to eat or drink.

Yay!!! Happy ducky!

Glad to hear he is doing much better!

I actually had my assistant manager tell me to take home 2 lil game banties. I was kinda shocked lol i say to her "ummm do i need to pay for em??" lol she laughs and goes nooo ill write em off, just take em home and try to get em healthy.
Unfortunately the one OEGB passed away, it wasnt walking, (splayed legs) and wouldnt eat or drink. it would gag when i dipped his beak. He had gotten to far along wasnt able to help him. But the other lil one is doing good, kinda slower, kinda sleepier, lol but still eating, drinking and sleepin with the other banties that i have. holding his own so far

awwwh, im glad they've accepted the "give 'em a chance" theory lol. anytime we have one thats slow, we give it sugar water & leave it by itself until it can move around better so it doesnt get stomped by its siblings lol. we only had banties for one day & i missed 'em ): my friend posted on my facebook & said she got some silkies. hope your little fella does good.

Hi, I'm trying to find more info on treating wry neck and I came across this forum. I notice on your profile Morgan, pix of a chick on a certain day with clear symptoms then a day later markedly better. Did you also use some kind of formula or medication on this chick? Then to you amberoxo, (sorry, not sure your name as it's not in your profile) you mention the formula with the vitamins, soy milk etc... but you don't mention any measurements. Would you be able to share any type of measurements you used to make this mix? I made a mixture using abou one Tbsp. multi grain baby cereal as a base then added 2 drops liquid Selenium, 2 drops B-12 & one drop Vit E. I would like to compare what others are mixing if either of you have information you can share. The chick loved the formula I mixed, just want to get maximum nutrients involved w/o going overboard so am wondering if I can be putting more in w/o ODing the poor chick. Thanks.
