Wry neck

According to the wiki description, my bird doesn't show Mareks. I'm almost certain mine is wry neck. From a vitamin E deficiency. I had them on fermented feed a few weeks back, and after 10 days, I noticed a sexlink of mine losing alot of weight. She started plucking the 2 silkies heads she was with. With fermented feed being mostly water, they were filling up on less actual feed. I went back to their pellets and moved the sexlink, and she is doing much better. My EE however hasnot gotten worse, but hasn't shown any improvement either.

My question would be why just the one. I have 12 and out of the 12 this one is showing the symptoms. The all eat and drink the same water and food. Medicated chick crumbs and vitamin water. I'm leaning more towards trauma. My husband just confessed my 5 year old was in the pen the other night holding the chicks.

Ok today my chickens has had 4 seizures. She sounds crackle and is shaking. I feel.it's time to have her put down. Any suggestions for doing this at home? She's about 6 weeks old and I believe she aspirated her food or water. I tried being careful giving her small amounts of food and water while upright wrapped in a towel. She is to small for my usual method. I don't want it to be messy too. I hate doing thiso but at this point she's suffering.

Well she passes away before I could help her. So I am going to send her to the state vet to see what happened. If it was viral or trauma or something else. Need to protect my remaining flock now. Rip little twist.

So sorry for your loss. A necropsy by your state vet would be a great idea to help find a cause for her problems. Refrigerate but do not freeze her body in a plastic bag.
