Wry neck

I know that's my fear. I have 2 different flocks. One that hatches Christmas day from my origional flock I just lost. Due to a raccoons. This batch that has the sick chick I got a few weeks ago as a replacement.

It's unfortunate that she is worse. Wry neck can last for awhile, but she needs to get water and fod. How old is she exactly? Mareks can show up after 3 weeks old, but usually is seen later up to around 25 weeks old and older. Wry neck is really very common, and week chicks can be very common in the first few weeks. There are so many reasons for this type of symptom. Coccidiosis is very common and can cause lethargy, not eating, and even neurological symptoms. Even with learning to tube feed her to get nutrition into her, she may be too far gone, but if that is an option, here is a thread about it:

They are approximately 6 weeks old. She has green mucous runny poo. I was able to get her to drink some water. But she's now spinning in circles. When I place her back in the isolation cage. It's sad that I'm trying everything to save her but I think it's no more viral than trauma now. I have all my chickens on the medicated chick scratch with antibiotics already mixed in. I'll try and upload a video later to show you what she's doing.

Let us know what happens. Here is another good link about wry neck: http://www.browneggblueegg.com/Article/Crookneck/Crookneck.html
Since coccidiosis can be common at this age, could you take in a couple of her fresh droppings to test for cocci? Corid is the best treatment for cocci in the water. Runny or bloody poops, sleepiness, hunched posture and refusal to eat are signs. Here is a link or two about cocci:

Not to hijack myown thread back, but if that chick has mareks, you should be able to tell by the eye color. Normal is an orange/red ring around a large black pupil, mareks the pupil is small and the eye color is grey.

As for my bird, i ended up getting vitamin e drops oppsed to the vitamin e oil.i was told the oil is not pure e so i switched. I couldn't find polyvisol anywhere, even 2 local drugstores. So she is being helped drink her electrolyte water/acv and with a syringe. Yesterday I made her scrambled eggs with feed softened with electrolyt water, she ate some , only only a little today. Her crop is just a little full for the first time today. I know it took time to get this bad, but how long is unrealistically too long to be treating before any sign of improvement?

Sorry about that. I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread. As for my chicks. Her eyes are normal looking. She's up and about now and has eaten the mush I made while I was gone.
