Hi All.
I have an adult duck, an Ancona who is exhibiting signs of wry neck. I’ve been reading other threads about vitamin E, selenium and Poly-Vi-Sol. And I don’t know what the dosages are. The vitamin E and the selenium are both in tablet form. And I’m afraid of overdosing her because I’ve heard terrible things about selenium overdose. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

400iu of the E, once a day. And 25 micrograms of selenium once a day. Can you take her to a vet? Because at this age, viral/bacterial infection, neurological damage, metabolic disease, or toxin ingestion is going to be more likely than a nutritional deficiency. Could you post a picture/video of her?

I think you’re right. She showed signs of botulism but then seemed to get better.
Thank you.

Thank you I will.
I’m taking her to vet now.

Well the vet wanted to do a full avian blood panel. Did give her an antibiotic shot, and three day wormer treatment. She’s not looking any better quite frankly. She is still eating and drinking but her ability to navigate, walk forward is really compromised.

That sounds very expensive!
