Ah, I assumed you would be selling chicks, as they appear to be ayam cemanis (or svart honas?). Even if you give away his chicks (unless you aren’t going to do that either), you should definitely inform the people you give them to that their father had a wry tail, so they aren’t breeder/show quality.
He will go into our hippy chick commune where its free love all they way lol. We dont tend to get rid of our chickens. We will restrict breeding at times. And if a friend particually wants 1 the we would give rather than sell or maybe trade just to bring fresh genes in to the pool. But although i intend to show it would probably be more for the fun of it. But if i had some show winners would i sell the offspring ? Who knows ? But i guess everyones dream is to have chickens everyone else envies . But letting any go would be a rench
Interesting. I don’t give away/sell my chickens either. I used to have a rooster-only flock and it was a lot of fun to watch.
We will let close family and selective friends have a couple every now and again but we are still involved with them. And yes we have a lot of cockrells at the moment but only 1 that seems to cause a problem . Hes a throwback to a huge brahama we used to have and is a bit large for our flock so i got a black copper maran chick hopefully they will pair off. There is also a black orpinton on its way up but only a few days old . I cant even claim it was intended as it should have been a redcap lol
