Shari & Naomi,
I will get you both fixed up with eggs as soon as the girls get back in the swing of things. Hopefully before it gets too cold!!!
Talk to you soon,
Christie

I think most know I felt the same way after joining the Serama Club- Which there is no doubt is my favorite club based on member activity - as for a group again I am a very new member myself and won , I am very sure the New President is planning on taking the club in a new direction.

I don't get involved in the old day politics I can only say
speaking with people has helped me a lot in all breeds but with the Favs for example Rose claims no Blues in her stock -
If i wasn't a club member I wouldn't know that -

and I owe Mthr an apology for having her eggs wanted post go so far OT - It was not my intent and I am very sorry I was just giving you a heads up after Mothergoose posted hers weren't laying --

Oh, no, Shari - don't be sorry! It's all great information, and I'm really glad to hear that there's at least talk about action being taken to help better the club. I've seen first-hand how things can change drastically (for the better) just by ONE go-getter who's willing to initiate some key changes in a club. One thing I've learned is that people can suggest changes until they're blue in the face, but if their pushing gets them nowhere with the "powers that be," then they can start their own club! I guess I'm not passionate enough or knowledgeable enough to do this myself, but I'm very easily sold on ideas when they're coming from somebody with the passion and knowledge to carry it out. So if no progress is made with the club, I'm open to joining a "new" Faverolles club if somebody is willing to start one.

Like I've already stated, I think a centralized discussion forum would REALLY move things along, get information out there more efficiently and pull members together. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to design such a thing and it might be costly (I wouldn't know). Somebody will have to maintain the website, too. I'm not volunteering...

Christie, no worries! No rush (at least for me). Besides, it shouldn't be TOO long before my own pullet begins laying (she'll be five months mid-December but I doubt she's going to start until spring). But I don't think the cockerel knows about fertilizing the eggs

.

Anyway, I don't mind at all that this thread has taken this direction. I'm sure there are others out there that are wondering what the deal is with the Fav club. I think this discussion should have probably taken place a long time ago. People being turned off to the breed because they couldn't get questions answered through the club - that's a bad sign, and a sure one that things need to change.

Ok now I wasn't going to and Terrie oh forgive me in advance I have been so good of late

What what irks me is I was alone at 5 am leaving my house in Ohio to drive to the End of PA near the Poconos to pick up my orignals from Nikki - every morning at 5 am I get up and go out all alone to feed them, then work my ten hour shifts. When the coon ate Mr .Coon Baits leg I was real alone doctoring him to save his leg. When the coons got Mrs. Coon Baits Back - Again there wasn't anyone but Judy Pam and Nikki answering my emails - I have had these birds in 4 shows where they have placed each time in various ways, Rather the Favorelle Club members were there or not The other folks showing birds have the same kind of rountine so for anyone to hint or say that our birds placed because of knowing someone is flat out Chicken Doo
I put a 1/2hr perday into my favs each beyond feeding that is why they were AOV Champs same with my Class C Serama Champ so excuse if I point out Just sour grapes !
