I want Golden or Black Sex link eggs for hatching.

I am in West Alabama, and would like to purchase in the
area to minimize shipping snags.

If you have some, or will in the future, please let me know.

My Barred hens that I use for BSLs have stopped laying and I am planning on selling them and discontinueing BSLs, but I will still keep some barred hens (for breeding pure BRs) and a RIR roo for a while, so I may be able to get some eggs from them later on. But in the spring I will have Gold Sexlink eggs from RIWhite hens with a Buff Orp roo ( I may try the RIR roo also), if you will be interested in these. Please let me know and I'll put you on my list and contact you when I have them available. Thanks

Please keep me on your list.

I have talked to people that want chicks, but not roos, so it
would seem that sex links are way to go.

I understand that Barred Rocks are easy to sex early on,
but being a nooby with chickens, I might not be able to!

Thanks for your response, and keep me posted.

I'll have hatching eggs when my hens get over there molt and start laying again.
I have a welsummer rooster x barred rock hens the chicks are bsl.
The pullets are making very nice birds, black with brown neck feathers.
The roosters are barred and will make great meat birds.
At hatch the chicks have been black the roosters have the large white head spot. The pullets dont have.

OK I will put you on my list.

Are you wanting Sexlinks to raise and sell eggs/chicks, you do realize that crossing a hen and rooster sexlink, won't produce sexlinks in the next generation, don't you?

And yes Barred Rock chicks are usually easy to sex as dayolds. Here are some of mine.

Dayold pullets. Smaller head spot with a solid back. They usually have darker legs also.

Dayolds Roos. Larger headspot with smoky backs and usually lighter legs.

These are some sexlinks I bred from a Buff Orp roo and Barred Rock hens.
