WV MD PA VA Chickenstock TSC Sat. September 25th

Hi everyone! We are brand new to the chicken world so we will be attending the Chickenstock on September 25th. We are in search of Delaware chicks. Does anybody know if someone will be selling this breed? Also, is there anything special we have to do with the county or state to own chickens in Berkeley County? i.e. permits, licenses...

The wonderful thing about WV is NO!!! you don't need no stinkin permit!! hahahahahahah

Unless, you're in the city limits or in a subdivision, there are no rules about having chickens. Many of the folks on this thread live in subdivisions that don't allow and, as long as you keep a low profile and no one complains, it won't be a problem.

Don't know about the dellies and where to find them.

The 25th is my birthday!!!

We were going to try and hit the Mother Earth News festival but DH has to work

I think i will have to just make the drive up to look at all the lovelies. We're in the market for a Welsummer pullet and a Buckeye.

I dont think Im going to be able to stop by the chicken stock at all. I need to drive to central VA on that morning.

However! if anyone wants birds from me, Id be willing to meet you all in a parking lot some place the following weekend....
