WV PA MD VA Chickenstock in Martinsburg, WV. Sat. April 25th 10 -2

I'll have my BYC shirt on

and I think name tags would be a great idea... especially for us folks selling stuff.

Question: I have a friend who is looking for quality runner ducks. Will anyone be bringing them to the Chickenstock? If so please let me know.

Also, do you think anyone would be interested in pet quality silkie chicks? I have had some pretty blues hatch out lately.

Is about 3 hrs away for me but HOPEFULLY can go..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any campgrounds nearby that you know of? I have a "Travel Trailer"; would be fun to bring the family on a chicken-oriented "Mini-Vacation"!!!!

Also, I am thinking of doing/bringing/selling some chicken-themed crafts... Any suggestions as to what might be popular? Am fairly "artsy", could do a number of different things.... ???????

Thanks!!!

PS: Iwould LOVE BYC nametags.... would be fun to associate an actual HUMAN with a "username"!!

You might check out cacapon (sp?) state park, there's lots of stuff to do! We'd love to have you

Eta- looks like cacapon only has cabins but there are really tons of places. I know there is a koa in harpers ferry which is an awesome minibreak and under a half hour from the chickenstock. There's great hiking, views, and history.

Good call, Kelpie. Harpers Ferry is a gorgeous historic village with lots of artsy shops you might enjoy. The KOA is a nice campsite and, I believe, it borders the state park.

Anything you'd like to bring is more than welcome. Hope we can MIRL meet in real life... hahahhah I've wanted to say that.

Suellyn,

Glad you are planning on coming. I cannot wait to see your goodies and to meet you.

I agree with the ladies. Harpers Ferry is the place to go. Here is a link to the KOA site:

Arts, crafts, history, beautiful scenery, nice village atmosphere. It has everything you are looking for in a weekend mini escape.

Well, It looks like I have soccer practice that day..... ughhh.... I wanted to go, but maybe I can come at 11:00. It takes 45 minutes to get there and practice is finished at 10:00.

Msbear, if I come, I'll see if I can bring St. Pepper along.

We'll be there til 2pm. If you want to bring stuff to sell ... you can come later, that will be fine.

We're almost done our cart coop. It's going to be so much nicer than ours

I guess we've learned a lot since then. We're going to try and whip out some nesting boxes as well.

When should I start advertising in the papers? week of? week before?

I can't wait.. so pumped.
