WWYD? INTFERTILE?? Eggs??

I'm sorry your eggs didn't develop. You should have got a couple.

But I wanted to post again to all those who keep saying their eggs were x-rayed.

They do not use x-ray machines anymore! They use scanner type machines that give off minimal radiation if any at all.

Foil will not protect your eggs either. Even if there were the old fashioned x-ray machines still being used you would need to use lead, but it is pointless because they use a scanner like at the airport check in..........

The sad and awful truth is you just never know with shipped eggs. I always tell people if you want a guarantee of chicks, buy chicks. Eggs are so fragile and going through the PO handling is very hard on them. I hatch here weekly so know exactly how my pens are doing at all times. Most customers get chicks and a few don't. Why they don't is beyond me..could be numerous factors like: shipping, storage prior to incubation, incubation controls, etc. Some of the ones who don't make rude comments like "put the rooster back in the pen". As a seller, it can be very frustrating trying to make everyone happy, especially knowing you are a good person and go above and beyond to ensure good eggs. I typically offer replacements for the cost of shipping if I can, but to hold a seller accountable for PO damage is really not fair especially if you can't prove the eggs were infertile. JMHO

Yeah, I've heard that they don't x-ray anymore....

I have ordered eggs from ebay sellers twice. The first hatch I got 14 out of 24 to hatch. The second, 7 out of 12. Not superb, but I was happy. I still believe the seller should stand by their eggs atleast being fertile!

My last batch of eggs I got, only one has developed out of 12. It's the chance you take. I would never hold the seller accountable, unless I could prove that they were infertile.

Not developing does not mean infertile.
