WWYD---quick, I've got it trapped!----updated!

I don't think owner revenge is going to be a problem since they have no idea where their dogs are, anyway. If their dogs disappear I doubt she will ever hear from those folks.

Drop 'em off at a pound a couple of counties away and go see your sis.

You said that they "Pretend" not to speak English. When my grandparents came over to America about a century ago, they either Learned the language and assimilated OR couldn't make a living. RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Guess you don't speak enough of THEIR language to be able explain how irresponsible dog owners they are. Maybe the local animal shelter speaks their language.

I would just take them to your local pound. IF the owners find them, they will still have to pay the fee to get them back out. When you drop them off, make sure to tell the shelter people that you tried to give the dogs back several times AFTER they killed your pet chickens and the owners did nothing. Chances are the owners aren't going to look for them. But if they do, then I'd catch them again and take them a few counties away if you can (around here, if you don't live in a county you can't leave animals in the shelter... you have to take them to your county, no matter how far away you found the animal) Or just find them new homes.

I haven't read all the posts but sometimes it's hard to go against your nice nature and be blunt! First you should have told these dults, that your birds were expensive and asked for $100. If you had charged them, they might think twice before letting them get loose again.
You need to get angry! What is YOUR problem? Take the dogs to the pound and tell them you tried to return the dogs and the owners don't want them. That they are killing your chickens and leave them there. No ifs, ands, or buts. Do not give the pound any of your personal information JUST leave. End of problem.
If the owners come looking for their dogs, tell them you don't know who has them. Which is not a lie since your not on a first name basis with the pound people. You haven't seen them since the last time they came to your place. Which is not a lie since you haven't and they don't know that the last time they came to your place was when they went to the pound.
Everyone, ONCE AGAIN, YOUR FIRST OBLIGATION IS TO KEEP YOUR ANIMALS SAFE.

Edited for language. ~Lisa~

The pound here has a night drop off. There are locking kennels that animals can be put into after hours. See if your pound or a nearby county pound has something like that. If there is no pound, just call the sheriff's dept and ask if anybody can pick them up. Don't be surprised if they tell you to shoot them. Also, don't be surprised if you neighbor gets new dogs and treats them the same way. It's a sad truth, but 95% of the people that let their dogs roam will not learn their lesson unless they are hit hard in the wallet.

Personally I would have shot them.

Sometimes if I recognize the dog as a neighbours pet, I will attach a note to the collar, explaining that this is the ONLY warning thry will get for the dog trespassing on my property.

If the pooch belongs to a neighbour I really like, I spraypaint a bullseye on it's side & douse it with a deer urine scent I use for hunting. If you think a skunk spray on a dog is bad, you should try this.
