Wyandotte chicks! Are they pullets?

I have three BLRW chicks that are 6 weeks old. Can anyone tell me if they are male or female?

***the brown one doesn’t have as many feathers because 1. The breeder I got her from says she has a slow feathering gene. And 2. She was picked on by another chick that we have since removed.***

It's a bit early yet. Wait a couple of more weeks, until they are all feathered out.

Actually, in most breeds, ( all common breeds, like wyandottes) you can tell when there born. When you hatched/bought them, did they have feather sprouts on their wings? If so, they're pullets. Roos don't get them till about a week after hatching

I can’t say for sure. We got the blue laced at one day old and the two splash at about 2 weeks old.

Wing feather sexing is not universally applicable as you are asserting. True wing feather sexing is a sex linked trait which most be selectively bred for. If this were universal there would be mo need to employ vent sexing which us significantly more complicated and prone to misinterpretation

#1 is a pullet, the other two will need some more time before we know for certain

I venture to guess #5 is a cockrel. What I have noticed about Wy's is when there little like that, and they are very rambunctious, they usually end up cockrels. I have raised 3 hatchings now and am on my 4th atm, it is always the same. they get tail feathers first, and they are rowdy as all get out
