Hi guys I read something that said you can start telling if chicks are boys or girls at 3 weeks, is that right? If it is can you guys tell me if these are boys or girls

#6 Sorry this ones hard to look at, he has a slipped tendon so we’re trying to fix it.

Generally 3 weeks is too young. You should repost when they are 6-8 weeks old.
But, #5 and #7 are definitely boys.
Ok thanks for your input. I can’t repost because they’re going to live on my friends farm next week and they next time I’ll see them it’ll probably be easy to tell. How can you tell if they’re boys though?

Red comb and wattles early on. Pointy Saddle feathers (feathers in front of the tail) and pointy sickles (tail feathers) also start to come in around 13 weeks of age.
