Do sex-link females always get mom's comb? I'm not well-versed in comb genetics.

No. Pea x rose = walnut. Sex link has nothing to do with comb style. Sex linking is most usually associated with feather pattern.

Decided I should do a follow-up on my old thread since I find the results interesting. Dottie is still chugging along fine. She did get wormed which had little effect. Oddly enough she still squats from time to time so she has some hormones doing their thing. I would have thought she would have had a steady decline after her early "menopause" but nope. So final chapter: she ceased laying at a little over 2 years old with no apparent health issues. And has thus far lived almost another 2 years in free-loader bliss.

So pleased to hear that she is still enjoying life. The squatting thing is more a sign of submission than hormonal, so I would not necessarily read anything into that.
Really appreciate you updating this thread so that we can all learn from it. I would have expected her to have succumbed to a reproductive disorder by now, but so pleased to find out that I would have been wrong in this case.
