My Wyandottes have been very good layers, with one laying nearly 300 eggs her first year, and the other laying about 250. They continue to lay well, even though they are now 4 years old. There eggs are medium size and light brown.
My Wyandottes have had excellent temperaments. They are docile around me and very personable. They can be a little standoffish with other birds and usually assert themselves highly in the pecking order.
They have survived temperatures around 100 degrees and below 0 degrees, quite easily. Because of their small combs, they don't get frostbite.
I've really enjoyed my Wyandottes!
