Wyoming Unite!!!!

The sky patrol was out in force this evening collecting high flying bugs. For awhile it looked like there were at least fifty of them.

I guess I just wasn't meant to have a garden this year. Hail storm last night with at least 3/4" hail and possibly some 1" ones. It got so loud, I could not hear the TV with the volume turned all the way up.

I am blaming this on the neighbor because they just finished putting his new roof on.

I have two shattered storm windows as the main damage. The fill around the swamp cooler was blown out and my bed was soaked.

The garden looks really sad and there are tree trimmings everywhere including the dead tree down in the driveway. Apples are on the ground. The long awaited prune plums are also mostly on the ground just as they were starting to ripen.

The turkeys all appear to be fine. All the other poultry were in their coops for the night. I did find one dead house sparrow. It may have gotten taken out by the window that was destroyed.

Man, parts of this state have just been hammered with hail and bad storms this year. Last year it was our turn up here in the northern Basin. Almost every property in Lovell sustained serious damage on their north sides when The Storm blew through on July 26. We had golf ball and bigger sized hailstones being driven by 70+ mph winds. My daughter had just bought a house the week before and it needed all new windows on the north side, a new greenhouse roof, new garage roof and new house roof. Trying to close on the house became a tangled nightmare, especially since the man who still owned the house when her offer was accepted was already living in Hawaii and it was his insurance company who had to cover damages. She eventually got in, but the roof on the house wasn’t repaired until this May. Wow!

I’m sorry you had so much damage to your property. And the thought of all that luscious fruit and produce being wiped out is just plain sad. :hugs

It isn't a pretty sight out there especially in the garden where tomatoes were just now ripening. It has been a terrible year for the garden with the late frost on June 10 and the cool ground temperatures further delaying things.

Further inspection showed a broken basement window also. The cover for the telephone connection box was completely off the box. Fortunately the greenhouse appears to be intact without any damage.

So sorry to hear of all the damage Bob. I agree, it's probably your neighbor's fault. What a mess to clean up!

Ouch, that's painful to see all the broken up produce. Hope you're able to salvage some things Bob. The chickens and turkeys will enjoy the messed up ones I guess.
