Thanks and good for you.

The ones that I still have left are pretty easy to tell the sex now.

I now have four turkey poults hatched. There are 2 Tri-color Mottled Blacks and 2 Tri-color Mottled Slates.

I think one of the Welsummer's is looking to be male (that comb!). He's going to be so handsome, I hope I'll be able to find a good home for him once I'm 100% sure. The Sapphire is definitely a girl and is going to be gorgeous. The Legbars are busy growing their tiny crests, which look pretty funny right now with their little scraggly long head feathers (I love that feature on them).

I'm really enjoying having birds again Bob...thanks for that!

Hope you have a good day. Looks like we'll get into the low 50's!

Glad you are enjoying the chicks.

Have you spotted any of the sand lilies? They are blooming now.

Sand Lily

Wild Phlox

Johnny Jump Ups

Of course the meadowlarks are singing their little hearts out.

Great photos as always Bob!

I haven't seen the sand lilies but they look lovely. What you call a Johnny Jump Up, we always called Violas...such pretty colors.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

With all the moisture we have been having, it wouldn't surprise me if you have some blooming down in the same field that you saw the badger in. You won't find them in a lawn as that would be too wet for them. Another thing to keep your eyes open for are Sego Lilies. They are another flower that can't tolerate too much water and are extremely difficult to domesticate.
